My name is Naveeta Mohan and I am currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science and Sustainable Technology at the University of the West Indies.
This degree option was chosen because of my passion for nature and my aim to bring about more environmental awareness. The field of environmental science is, in my opinion, one which has received very little acknowledgement as a major area of study and importance. Although in recent times more emphasis has been placed on environmental education, there is still a long way to go to encourage people to take into consideration the effects of their actions on the environment and how this affects their lives.
I hope that in the future, I can assist in implementing further measures to protect and conserve our environment as well as educate people about how the environment is beneficial to our lives.
